This position is responsible for performing administrative and general office duties and maintaining accurate documentation.
Job Duties:
Researches and gathers data for the preparation of various reports and special projects Prepares a variety of correspondence and responses Investigates complaints and resolves problems or refers to the appropriate area Reviews and monitors expenses from the budget to assure that funds are not exceeded Organizes and files both confidential and administrative files Maintains and operates general office equipment Attends meetings and takes minutes Drives on State business Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
Administrative management practices Procurement rules and procedures Business English, spelling, and grammar Filing systems Proper telephone etiquette Personal computers Dealing with staff, inmates, and public Word processing and spreadsheet software ADCRR policies and procedures Skill in:
Verbal and written communication Operation of general office equipment Data entry Preparing and formatting difficult and complex reports Writing correspondence Training lower-level staff Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships Ability to:
Plan, analyze, coordinate and prioritize work Maintain confidentiality Research, collect and organize data Work in a business/professional environment Multi-task Work in a prison environment Selective Preference(s):
Two (2) - three (3) years of experience providing administrative support to a manager/administrator Knowledge of computer programs including Google Docs, Sheets and Gmail Pre-Employment Requirements:
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply.
Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks.
The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended.
Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training.
An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
