64 an hour ABOUT THE POSITION Assists the Magistrate in managing and directing the Municipal Court as assigned.
Assists in developing, planning, and implementing Court goals and objectives; develops and implements long and short-term strategic plans; recommends and administers policies and procedures.
Plans, organizes and directs the Court activities, and leads the Court's efforts in personnel matters, such as investigations, hiring and training procedures.
Coordinates Court activities with those of other departments and outside agencies and organizations; prepares and presents staff reports and other necessary correspondence.
Directs, oversees, and participates in the development of the Court annual work plan; assigns work activities, projects, and programs; monitors work flow; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures.
Assists in the development and administration of the Court budget; directs the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitors and approves expenditures.
Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates personnel; provides a high level of leadership; provides or coordinates staff training; conducts performance evaluations; implements discipline procedures; maintains discipline and high standards as necessary for efficient and professional operations of the Department.
Represents the Court to outside groups and organizations; participates in outside community and professional groups and committees; provides technical assistance as necessary.
Researches and prepares technical and administrative reports and studies; prepares written correspondence as necessary.
Establishes collection payments for civil and criminal fines and sets up payment schedules; coordinates with other agencies including collection services, tax intercept programs, Motor Vehicle Division, San Luis Police Department and Administrative Offices of the Courts for collection of monies.
Ensures that all active and inactive case files are properly created, processed, maintained, and secured according to Arizona State Supreme Court Processing Standards.
Oversees preparation of court docket and related documents for daily court operations; reviews the preparation of subpoenas, summons and warrants May act in the absence of the Magistrate in non-judicial matters.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Plan, direct, and control the administration and daily operations of the Court.
Prepare and manage department budget.
Develop and implement department policies and procedures.
Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned personnel.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with City employees, officials, and representatives from other local, state, and Federal agencies.
Assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and demands.
Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion.
Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals.
Interpret and apply federal, state, local, and department policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Research, analyze, interpret, and make case determinations in accordance with judicial procedures and practices.
Identify and respond to public and City Council issues and concerns.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Possess knowledge of:
Principles and practices of leadership, motivation, team building, and conflict resolution.
Pertinent local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
Organizational and management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs.
Principles and practices of organization, administration, and human resource management.
Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
Legal terminology and court administration practices and procedures.
State, City and Supreme Court rules, statutes, and ordinances.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Administration of Justice, or closely related field; and three (3) years of administrative or professional experience in a Court setting.
Job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Residency within 25 miles of San Luis within the US.
Arizona Committe of Judicial Education and Training (COJET) Yearly accreditation.
A valid Arizona driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment Preferred/Desired:
Bilingual in Spanish Experience in a Lead or Supervisory capacity.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
