9K a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago POSITION PURPOSE Receive and process member's financial transactions and record via an on-line computer terminal.
Adhere to the GUEST Model for sales and service at all times.
Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Receives checks and cash for deposit; verify deposit amount, examine checks for endorsement and negotiability.
Cashes checks and provides cash from shares and share draft withdrawals, verify signature, account numbers, and account balances.
Processes transactions of IRA deposit and withdrawals.
Receives loan payments; verify payments equal amount due, collect late charges if applicable.
Sells, collects and balances fees on money orders, official checks.
Balances cash drawer at designated balancing times by counting cash in drawer, balancing checks and making settlement of the day's activities.
Receives and verify cash shipments.
Assists with end of day balancing procedures.
Performs VISA cash advances.
Completes various forms and collects proper fees.
Creates, closes, or reorders ATM/Visa Debit cards.
Processes night drop transactions.
Provides basic credit union information via telephone and/or in person.
Promotes credit union products and services based on member needs obtained through getting to know your member.
Assures proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of work areas, desks and equipment.
Responsible for complying with the Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures, including attendance at annual training, as directed by the Bank Secrecy Act Officer.
Adheres to GUEST model for internal and external member service.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education/Certification:
A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required Experience Required:
At least three to six months experience in a retail customer service role or financial institution with a strong sales and service environment is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential to this position.
Ability to operate a personal computer, including full working knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
