ABOUT THE ROLE
JOB PURPOSE:
Focused and unsurpassed service to both internal and external customers in support of all departments within the company to fulfill shipping and receiving needs. Emphasis to different aspects of the job functions depending on company needs.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non- Exempt
HOURLY RATE: $17.13 per hour. This amount meets or exceeds the prevailing wage as determined by the U. S. Department of Labor.
MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES/TASKS
Verify and maintain records on outgoing shipments ensuring that all shipping documents match the physical items staged for shipment.
Prepare items for shipment based on specific shipping instructions from the sales order.
Affix shipping labels on packed cartons ensuring accuracy to item number, customer, and quantity.
Use multiple online shipping systems.
Confirm orders are cleared for release prior to shipping.
Communicate with multiple departments regarding daily shipment preparation.
Process Orders in SAGE for GPI USA and GPI Asia.
Coordinator and support for chip destruction at Blue Springs facility.
Assist in preparation and execution of quarterly physical count.
Present research on items for inventory reviews as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
EDUCATION
High school diploma required
EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use SAGE software system
EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers,
printers, telephones, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position is in a well-lighted office and warehouse environment. Activities including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting.
MENTAL/PHYSCAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and
sit for long periods of time.
Required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop and use hands and fingers to grasp and feel.
Required to lift to 5lbs. occasionally, 1 lbs. frequently.
Vision requirements include peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus with frequent computer usage

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
